Masquerade

This piece actually started from the base. I found that black rock just sitting there on a toss away pile of one of my suppliers and I knew I could do something with it. Then I thought it looked like a dance floor. The coloration of the mask is natural except for the gold around the eyes. I put that on using 24K gold paste.

The mask is Brazilian Soapstone, I don’t know where soapstone the base is from.
